It is the one wich made Hobie Cat and many others changing their modele of Formula 18, the first one to really beat the Hobie Tiger. A second version a bit modified was launched by nacra, the MKII, to update the modele after all the new modeles such as Cirrus R, C2, Wild Cat, Shockwave, Phantom... It is taking the place of the Tiger, as the best compromise cost/performance to begin in Formula 18.
